oh what do you do in the summertime?

Do you remember that primary song Oh What Do You Do in the Summertime? (Children's Songbook pg.245)

Oh, what do you do in the summertime, when all the world is green?
Do you fish in a stream, or lazily drem on the banks as the clouds go by?
Is that what you do? So do I.

Oh what do you do in the summertime, when all the world is green?
Do you swim in a pool to keep yourself cool, or swin in a tree up high?
Is that what you do? So do I.

Oh what do you do in the sumertime, when all the world is green?
Do you march in parades, or drink lemonades, or count all the stars in the sky?
Is that what you do? So do I.

As summertime approaches, it would be great to hear some ideas of what you do "when all the world is green." So, leave a comment sharing what you do (and so will I).

a few things from my summer bucket list are: Go to Millville Fun Days, play tennis, watch fireworks, have a watermelon night, eat a snow cone, go on a hike, memorize a poem, play horse shoes.

This summer I hope to go jeepin' with my grand kids, lay in the grass and soak in the sunshine, go jeepin' with my sister, eat twenty or thirty hamburgers out in the back yard, did I mention go jeepin'?? Spend a couple of nights camping...at least once in the back yard. And lay in my deck swing and read a book...if I'm lucky. :)

Summer is the time I TRY to slow down and save up some sanity for the rest of the year. I am a summer person!!
