bragging rights
We won the Stake Softball Tournament at the Stake Pioneer Celebration Friday night. Yep, we have bragging rights, but of coarse, we wouldn't. Thank you to everyone who participated this season by playing, cheering, allowing husbands to play,(and if you're a dad reading this blog, thanks for watching kids so your wife could play), or anyone who might have offered up a silent prayer that you wouldn't have to play. A big thank you to Julianne who was a champ at getting the team there, on the roster, and up to bat.

Walk to Waikiki
The Relief Society is walking to Waikiki!
To "walk" there, there are things to keep track of, and they add up to miles on our trek to Waikiki. Exercise: 10 min= 10 miles (10 min increments), Water: 6 cups = 2 miles, 4 servings of Fruits and Vegetables= 2 miles, spiritual: 4 miles (4 miles per day max), other: 2 miles per day max.
So, if you started in February when it was introduced, you would be to mile 2310. (wow), but this is like the servant in the vineyard, ladies. If you haven't started yet, go ahead and get on board and come along to Waikiki!
To start, just grab a chart to mark off. It's in the binder that is passed around Relief Society. If you don't attend relief society on Sundays (maybe you serve in the primary or Sunday school, or if you had a baby and missed a few months or maybe you just haven't been in a while-- just ask a friend to grab you one, or make one up for yourself--) It's a great way to get a well rounded self (or maybe a less-rounded well-rounded self). Keep track of your progress Monday through Saturday and add up your totals.
So, how has your walk to Waikiki going?

safety first
As summer is finally here, keep a watchful eye out for the many children mow wandering (and sprinting) in the streets and neighborhoods. Slow down as you travel around the neighborhoods (even in the dark as night games begin). And please, please slow down on 450 North and watch for kids that may be crossing the road to Millville's North Park. If you could spread the word to others who may not be reading this blog to PLEASE SLOW DOWN, that would be angelic.

ward adult fireside
Thursday at 7:00 (in the relief society room) there is a fireside/meeting with guest speaker Jeff Johns who is a family counselor. He will be focusing on resolving conflict in marriage. There will be a nursery provided (thank you Desi!) for those who need that. All adults invited.
